Coastal powder room: from dull and outdated to a coastal oasis

When redesigning your home, it's often the little, under-appreciated spaces that provide the greatest satisfaction.

This was one of those spaces for Kristin Patrician, Founder of Dwelling Envy Interiors, when she completed her classy powder room renovation for a client in North Carolina.

Her brief was simple: transform the dull and outdated room into a coastal oasis.

“My client wanted a refresh to their dull and outdated powder room,” said Patrician. “I love how adding wallpaper and a new floating vanity completely changed the look of this space.”

Patrician’s approach to the project was to bring the idea of the coastal environment into the space in a subtle, organic way. To achieve this, she chose a wallpaper with a light, beachy pattern and a floating vanity in a coastal-inspired color.

“It’s such a statement piece now in her space,” said Patrician. “The wallpaper and vanity give the room a bright, airy feeling and make it look like a completely different space.”

The result is a stunning powder room that feels like a true coastal oasis. The wallpaper and vanity add a modern touch while still staying true to the coastal theme.
