This primary bedroom and ensuite re-design exudes coastal charm without being overly beachy. To achieve this balance, designer Kelley Gable chose light wood finishes for the bedroom, paired with soft bedding, and added dark accent elements such as pillows, lamps, and moody art.
We wanted this primary bedroom to feel coastal without screaming BEACH HOUSE.
The ensuite bathroom, which adjoins the bedroom, also received an update. Gable selected classic subway tile for the shower, but arranged it in a horizontal pattern to give it a contemporary twist. The 'his and hers' vanities were also updated with wood tones and polished nickel plumbing and hardware, adding a touch of elegance to the space.
Overall, this project demonstrates Gable's skillful use of color, texture, and materials to create a cohesive and stylish interior that is both coastal and modern. As Gable herself says, "we wanted this primary bedroom to feel coastal without screaming BEACH HOUSE", and she succeeded in striking the perfect balance.
