A relaxing retreat: Step inside this dreamy, kid-friendly family room

The family room is where people like to sit back and relax at the end of a busy day. It's also a space use for entertaining and hanging out as a family. So the perfect living space should meet the demands of both kicking back with a good movie or entertaining friends and family.

This space, designed by Megan Pisano Design does just that.

"The client wanted a bright, clean, timeless family room," recalls Megan Pisano, owner and principal designer at Megan Pisano Design. "I took her vision and ran with it."

"I designed a dreamy, bright, kid friendly family room," explains Pisano. "The large L-shaped sofa creates a comfortable seating area for the entire family to lounge and hang out in."

The light, dreamy room is accented by pops of blue. "Along with a pop of blue for the armchair. The blue continues throughout the family room into the rug, pillows, and window seat," adds Pisano.
