Trade Mark Interiors combine timeless design with modern sophistication to perfectly capture the essence of coastal living

When Tracee Murphy and Kristin Tolbert of Trade Mark Interiors set out to transform a builder standard coastal property, they could only have dreamt that the project would materialize quite so beautifully.

Situated in the Lakewood Ranch community of Sarasota, Florida, the clients were bringing very few personal items with them, giving the designers carte blanche. Their previous home was traditional, so they wanted to modernize their existing style with a new design direction that was timeless and embraced the property's beautiful setting.

The showpiece of the project is a kitchen that perfectly captures the essence of coastal living.

“Our clients wanted to customize their builder standard home, and we were able to do that by incorporating texture, custom built-ins, unique light fixtures, comfortable furnishings, and seamless indoor/outdoor living,” said Tracee.

The kitchen is a true coastal masterpiece, featuring a gorgeous light teal color that stands out from the off. Carefully sourced marble and wood add a classic and coastal feeling, while the vaulted ceiling with trim detailing adds a designer touch.

“It was important for us to capture the essence of coastal living without going overboard,” said Tolbert. “We wanted to create a home that was modern and unique, while still being comfortable and inviting.”
